York University's Bridging Program for Internationally Educated Professionals (IEPs) works with small and large local businesses, not-for-profits, professional associations and accreditation bodies to help IEPs transition into a position that matches their education, credentials and experience. We attract candidates from over 45 countries and create an individual, customized action plan for each IEP that is tailored to their goals and career path. Our main goal is to help IEPs transition with confidence into a job in their field.
Courses to choose from in the Information Technology certificate include areas such as: systems analysis, big data and modern data analytics and enterprise systems. We are also in the process of adding new courses. See more information on Certificate courses here.
How can you tell if this program is right for you?
Our program positions you for employment that fits with your goals and career path, however it does not guarantee you a job upon graduation. As a student you'll benefit from our courses, practical learning opportunities, and industry connections if:
- You are currently unemployed or working in a job that doesn't match your skills, education, and experience;
- You have not participated in a similar Ontario bridging program before;
- You are ready and willing to do the preparation required to get ready for employment in your field;
- You have the ability to take a minimum of two courses per term
