York University's Bridging Programs for Internationally Educated Professionals (IEPs) offer IEPs University based courses, and for Certificate students a credential from a Canadian University, that will support them in finding employment in their field in Canada.
Students complete university courses developed for exclusively for IEPs that focus on developing their Canadian professional communication, leadership and management skills and have the opportunity to take a selection of courses based on their professional field.
The programs work with employers, career and employment services, not-for-profits, professional associations and accreditation bodies to help IEPs transition into a position that matches their education, credentials and experience. We've attracted candidates from over 70 countries and work with all IEPS to create an individual customized action plan that is tailored to their individual skills development and career path.
Our Certificate Programs are funded by the Ontario government and in 2020 our new Bridging to Employment IEP Foundations program for newcomers will be funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. The goal of all our Bridge programs is to help IEPs transition with confidence into a job in their field in Canada.
